Thank you for your interest in Prairie City Diners!
We would like the opportunity to share some information about our Diners.
Where are we Located?
Prairie City Diners is located at 34 Burnt Basin Street, Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Our site is on the west side of Highway #2, North of Highway 11.
Construction of the diner?
Each diner is constructed inside our shop in a controlled environment. The main building design is of steel and wood with spray foam insulation. The structures are very strong and durable; good to withstand the cold winters and warm summers. Windows are double paned reflective commercial glass. The exterior finish is of stainless steel and steel; the roof is covered with a rubber membrane with a 20 year warranty.
Size of the Diner?
We currently have 2 different sizes; 60 ft X 16ft and 18ft X 64 ft
Floor Plans?
Floor plans are designed to suit your needs. The plan that we include is the basic design and serves only as a preliminary guideline. Diner plans are engineered (structural, electrical, and plumbing) and inspected to Alberta Building Codes if located in Alberta. All Fire, Health, and Occupancy Codes are met. Out of province orders will be designed and built to code of that location. Each diner is designed to be wheel chair accessible.
Foundation of the Diner?
Prairie City Diners have an engineered screw piling design that meets a standard ground proctor. Site placement would be on municipality regulations.
How easy is it to relocate a diner?
The diners can be easily moved with a winch tractor trailer unit. They are designed so no crane is used to spot onto the foundations. The big advantage to having one of our diners is the fact that the foundation costs are minimal and time saved in your development of the site and restaurant can be drastically lowered. Also, the diner retains its value if it becomes non-profitable.
Cost to Build?
Starting costs are $250,000.00. This is the base price which is the structure with seating and limited mechanical.
Moving Costs?
The cost to move a diner is variable. We are basing this cost on roughly $425.00/hr from Red Deer, Alberta. We usually allow 3 hours for setting the diner on its foundation. This is subject to industry costs changing.
Before taking possession of the Diner, what is required on my end?
The site prep will have to be done, level the area where the diner will sit. Have all services that you will be using for power, gas, sewer, water, etc. Once the diner is set on the foundation it is all ready for a very easy hook up.
